Bio

Alex Pierson (he/him)

I am a PhD Candidate in Mathematics and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Oregon State University. My research advisor is Ren Guo. 

I graduated from Duke University in May 2020 with a B.S. in Mathematics and minors in Physics and Music. I completed my M.S. in Mathematics from Oregon State University in March 2023. 

I am a regular participant in OSU's Geometry and Topology Seminar, and have served as a member of the math department's DEJAI (Diversity, Equity, Justice, Access, and Inclusion) Committee, and as the chair of the Graduate Advisory Committee.
